How Do Angels Show up in Our Lives?

The other day I posted a question on my Facebook page "If your Guardian Angel appeared in your living room what would you ask her/him about?" I got a lot of interesting comments and one from a non believer who said she would wake up.

This got me thinking about how angels show up in our lives.

Some people just sense their angels around them.   I was taking a shower one day getting ready to go to my dermatology appointment. I was anxious because many other times he had found some basal cell skin cancers and I was getting tired of getting cut on.  I didn't want to go.  Suddenly I sensed and saw in my mind's eye a huge angel in my shower.  I was taken aback a bit but not scared.  I "heard" him say I wasn't going to get cut on today so don't worry.  I felt myself beginning to relax even though I was a bit skeptical. But sure enough, the doctor didn't find anything new on my skin, so my angel's message was right on.

Some hear angels, either like I did when I got the angel message in the shower and others actually hear a voice.  There have been stories about people who were about to get into an automobile accident who heard a voice saying "Put your foot on the brake now"  or "Turn the wheel to the right" and other warnings.   I was alone in my house one day way back when and I heard a voice as plain as could be that said, "find out about computers."  I was startled because I was alone and I asked, "What?" The voice said clearly "Find out about Computers."  I didn't even know what a computer was but I thought I'd better see what computers were about and I'm glad I did.  It changed my life and I started doing online chat readings, email readings and skype ones too.  I read for people all over the world thanks to computers and my angel's instructions.

Many call on and get answers from Jesus.  I am not saying Jesus is an angel but who knows?  What is an angel anyhow? Do they have to have wings?

Some people see lights when they ask for guidance from their angels.  They can be sparkles of  beautiful colors, flashes of lights, bubbles or orbs.

Other people feel pure love when their angels are around.

How do you sense your angels are around you?  I would love to hear your stories.  Post them in the comments below if you feel like sharing.

I will write more about this in future blogs. So until next time just know that YOUR ANGELS LOVE YOU NOW AND FOREVER!

WHY DO WE ALWAYS COMPARE OURSELVES TO OTHERS?

A few weeks ago I met a group of people who'd I'd known online since about 2008.   I was a little nervous thinking about the meetup a week or so before. I imagined myself surrounded by a group of people and not being able to hear what was being said.  I tapped on it and worked with my coaches, Rick Wilkes and Cathy Vartuli who helped me realize I could speak up, say "I'm almost deaf in my right ear, and I'd like to switch places with you so I could hear better." Yes I could do that but it would feel awkward.

Okay so Saturday night came and we drove up to the little Taco place in Asheville to meet these people, I was excited.   We all recognized each other and that was so cool! Here were some very lovely souls who I'd been reading their posts and been in groups with for almost seven years.  One lady was driving from New York to California with her children and she stopped here in Asheville to meet us all.  What fun!  We sat outside on benches while eating and talking.  My worry about not hearing well vanished, I had no problem.

Then the picture taking began.  I thought I was smiling.  Well I was but with my mouth closed.  I always feel self conscious about my teeth.  But we all feel self conscious about something don't we?  I've been learning about this in my Thriving Now tapping group.

This wonderful, fun evening felt good until later when I saw one of the pictures that was posted.

I saw their fresh open faces and smiles and thought, "Oh I look like a crotchety old lady, ewwww"  It really did make me feel bad. Now I do know intellectually that we only make ourselves feel bad or good depending on how we think.  But that didn't help me when I looked at the picture.   Yes there were other good pictures but of course what do we usually focus on? The bad ones of course. Even famous writers and film stars latch on to the critical reviews even when they've read hundreds of wonderful ones. Why do we feel this need to focus on the negative instead?  Is this a human trait? Is it part of the lessons we're here on earth to learn?

I posted this picture and my feelings about it on the Thriving Now forum where I'm a member and one of the tribe members told me I was probably being too hard on myself. She posted a wonderful You Tube Video of Brad Yates tapping on comparing ourselves.

I tapped with it as I visualized myself in this picture and it helped a lot. This is when I decided to write this blog.  It does make me feel very vulnerable to write this and put it out on social media but if it helps anyone else to feel better about themselves it is worth it.  I hope the ladies in the picture don't mind me posting this.

As Brad Yates says in this video "I'd rather love than compare and I am loving myself just as I am in body, mind and spirit."

One of my Favorite Places

Today I was looking at a friend's Facebook pictures and there was one of the beautiful ocean.  I just sat there and looked at it, remembering how much I loved going to the Lake Worth, Florida beach.  I spent many hours laying on a towel on the sand soaking in the rays. I'd get hot and cool off in the ocean. My blonde hair turned white and I had a beautiful golden tan in my white bikini.  Mmm I looked good!
Yes this is the place.  Look at the sun making the ocean sparkle.  I don't have to be there to still enjoy it.  I can imagine myself there and almost feel my feet in the water.  Then I would dive head first into a wave.  Yes those were fun days. I rode the waves to shore too and sometimes the waves would slam me into the sand.
Some mornings we'd drive over to the beach and watch the sun come up.  It was so delicious swimming in the  rays of the newborn day.
Isn't this a yummy picture? See the sun shining on the water? I'd stand in the light of this and imagine being blessed by my Creator, the angels and the Universe.  Ahhh this brings back some wonderful memories. Thank you Bernie for this delicious picture.

Since my skin told me it had enough sun, I am done going to the beach. Someone said why don't you go at dusk with a long sleeved shirt on and long pants.  That didn't appeal to me at all.  At first it bothered me a lot but I got past it. We moved up into the mountains of North Carolina and this is a wonderful place to live too.  The wonderful thing is, I can visit pictures of the ocean and imagine myself there any time I want.  I can energetically BE there any time I want using my imagination and memories.

Love, Jean Maurie

TRANSFORMATION THROUGH THE YEARS

My life has evolved and is so different from the me's that I have been back through the years.

How cool is this! Imagine being born in a time when there were no TV's, and seeing the changes from tiny black and white tv's to color, to Big Screens. We used to listen to our favorite shows on the radio and used our imagination to visualize the scenes.

From telephones where we picked up the receiver and heard an operator say, "number please" to rotary phones, then smart phones.

Then from bulky expensive computers to light weight, rather inexpensive laptops and tablets.

I couldn't even tell anyone what I wanted to be when I grew up - it hadn't even been invented yet!!!

Who would have thought that this child who felt like she didn't feel like she fit in with her peers and felt really stupid in school, turned out to love posting on Facebook, twitter and creating her own web page with 1411 Facebook friends, many who really like her!!! This is an amazing and healing Ah Ha!! Wow!!!

Now having her own blogtalk radio show, Personal Empowerment For Your Soul with co-creator Maggie Lukowski.

Life has been full, curious and I wonder what's coming next!

Fog in the Mountains

Today we went for a drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fog and rain.  This was at Tanbark Ridge Overlook  Elevation 3175 feet.  The fog was breathtaking.  I could hardly stop taking pictures and videos.

We stopped at the Folk Art Center for a pit stop. There's a sign on the door saying No Photographs.  As we walked through the store and saw all the unique and beautiful displays I wanted to take pictures so much.

So instead I am showing another fog picture.  When our son came up to visit, he saw fog in the mountains and it looked like the mountain was on fire.

For All the Winter Weary

Yes this has been a harsh winter for most of the country.  Hopefully it is almost over and spring is on it's way.  Daylight Savings Time starts this Sunday so at least we will have more sunlight. Until the warm weather gets here, you can imagine being in this video, floating in the ocean, walking on the warm sand and enjoying summer.

Tiny Apartment in New York City

I was sitting here cleaning out some old emails and came across this video of a very small apartment this lady lives in. She's a writer and lives in New York City. She has organizational skills or this wouldn't work for her. As I was watching the video I almost had trouble breathing. No way could I live in a space this small.

I remember one summer we borrowed a camper from a friend my husband works with so we could see if we liked camping. It was way too small. I think I stayed one night and then went home the next day.

Way back when, I dreamed of living in New York City for a year. It didn't happen but I thought about it for years. My cousin lived there and invited me to spend the weekend with her. This was back in 1954 and what a wonderful weekend it was. I sometimes wonder why I didn't ask her to help me find a job and a place to live in the city. I have no regrets now, thank goodness. This video of the lady's small living space brought back memories for me. Do you think you could live in a space this size?

Let's Dance

A friend sent me this in an email and I smiled all over myself as I watched it. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
Today on Ellen's show she showed us in her own funny way how Siri works on the Iphone.  I had heard about it but I don't have an Iphone so I hadn't actually seen it work.  This made me think of a DOS program I used to have way back when computers were very expensive and we had to use floppy disks to get any programs to work.  Plus we only had 64 KB of ram.  I won't say "those were the days" because I love all the speed and memory we have today, but the Commodore 64 was a fun machine and I played a lot of games on them.

The DOS program that reminds me a little of Siri was called Dr. Sbaitso.  Does anyone remember him?  I could type a question and he would answer it with his limited programmed language.  Here is an example:

One night when my Grand daughter was spending the night with us, she was playing with it.  She was about 5 or 6 and she got bored, so she typed "Goodbye".  Dr. Sbaitso said, "I'm not finished with you Tiffany."  Her eyes got real big, she leaped out of the chair, tore out of the room and insisted that all the doors and windows be shut and locked.  It was quite funny, but not to her.  The next morning she was brave again and wanted to play Dr. Sbaitso to see what he'd say. She remembers this twenty five years later.

Here's a tribute to Dick Clark.  We loved watching American Bandstand.  Dick loved his work and the music. What fun to love what you do!  I love listening to music and dancing too, how about you?

Healing with Powerful Affirmations

I found this beautiful video on You Tube and wanted to share it with you.  The creator said it is infused with powerful healing energies.  I felt them and I hope you do too.

Caterpillars in Therapy

This week I am pleased to have a guest blogger who has agreed to share his inspirational article with us. Thank you David.

Caterpillars in Therapy
 by David Cronin

The story of the caterpillar turning into a butterfly is a common idea in spiritual literature. The image is a powerful metaphor for the transition we sometimes undergo in our lives. I wonder if the caterpillar really knows what is about to happen as it creates its cocoon. Does it ever question the first stirrings of change birthing inside of itself? Does it experience terror as all the ways it has ever identified itself as start to dissolve?

I can just image a caterpillar, let's call him Barry, starting to feel something he's not quite sure of, going to see a therapist, a ladybug named Louise.

Barry: "You know, I just don't feel quite right these days. I really can't put my finger on it. Something is just off."

Louise: "Tell me everything I need to know to understand this completely."

Barry: "Well, it just feels like I am not really here some how. Nothing seems to hold the same value for me. It's all so confusing and I might add, more than a little unnerving."

Louise: "How so?"

Barry: "Well, it feels like something just wants to bust out but I have no idea what it is. And on top of that I have no idea what life will be like should whatever this is actually busts out. It's like I am afraid to let go yet I can't hold on anymore!! It's really freaking me out!!"

Louise: "I understand, thank you. Tell me something you are afraid to say."

Barry: "I HATE THE TASTE OF LEAVES!!! Phew, boy does it feel good to finally just come out and say that. I mean, I'm a caterpillar for Pete's sake, that's what we do. I used to love them; couldn't get enough of them. But now I am just sick of them. If I never eat another leaf it will be okay with me. But this is all I have ever known so what does this all mean? Who will I be if I am not a leaf-eater?"

Louise: "Thank you for being honest with what you are feeling. Tell me what is true for you."

Barry: "True for me? Well, I am tired. And very sacred."

Louise: "I understand. Tell me something that feels untrue for you."

Barry: "Untrue? Well, I guess that I am "supposed' to always be a certain way. I mean, I can change, experience new things."

Louise: "Thank you. Tell me something else that is true for you.

Barry: "You know, what is REALLY TRUE for me is that I just want to lie down and wrap myself up and sleep! But I am just too sacred to surrender into that. I am afraid if I do I will never come out."

Louise: "I understand, thank you. Tell me something else that feels untrue for you."

Barry: "Well, I guess it feels untrue that I would NEVER come out.

Louise: "I get it, thanks. Tell me something else that is true for you."

Barry: "Well, if I am really honest, I would have to say that this is something I just have to do. I don't really understand it; I don't know what is going to happen but, you know, I just have to do it. It feels like truth that I am just being pushed by some powerful force and I have to just surrender to whatever this is. This feels really clear to me now. I feel much better. I'm still a little scared, but much clearer about things."

Louise: "Good. Tell me an action you can take now"

Barry: "I'm going to go to my favorite spot, wrap myself up and just surrender to whatever life has in store for me."

Louise: "Thank you. Our time is up. Is it okay with you that we end this session?"

Barry: "Yeah, this has been great. I will stop by after I come out and say hello if that's okay. You will recognize me won't you? I hear you see a lot of caterpillars."

Louise: (smiling to herself) "Yes, of course I will."

There are times in our lives when we feel that all the ways we identified ourselves as start to shift or fall away. Perhaps the best thing we can do is simply surrender; or at least find a ladybug named Louise to talk to.

After I'm Gone

I'm reading Then Again by Diane Keaton, a memoir she wrote about herself and her connection with her mother. Diane found journals her mother wrote - 85 of them. After reading the first page it made me wonder about my own journals. I have 15 filled notebooks I started in 1963 right before JFK's assassination. They are dated and most of the pages are numbered.

I also have a box of letters that Bernie and I wrote to each other before we were married in 1958. He was in the Navy and it took almost ten days before I'd get a return letter. Now that e-mails are so fast do people actually correspond? I'm glad I have these letters, but like my journals, who would want to read them? What will happen to them when I'm gone - when both of us have left this earth plane? Will my Son want to cart around all this as he moves, will they be stored in a warehouse? Who would care?

I remember when my mom died, my step father was tossing a lot of things I grabbed. Mom was a noted Amateur Radio operator who received plaques for different accomplishments.

My journals are about my life, healing fears, overcoming agoraphobia, different therapies I've been through, my growth as an astrologer, tarot card reader and much much more. I would like to write my memoirs someday but don't know where to start. Again, who would want to read it? Someone suggested I donate them to a college and I wondered why. One thing I do know is that I'd be delighted if I found journals written by my mother or my grandmother.

Do you feel pretty? What is Pretty?

I found this on Facebook and it spoke to me. Do you feel pretty? What do you give up to feel pretty? Does it come from inside or outside? How many products will we buy to make ourselves look acceptable to others?

How many designer clothes, creams, braces, hair color do we need to buy to feel pretty and acceptable? How about love? Do we need to do all this to feel LOVED????

Watch this video and let's discuss what you do to feel pretty or what you don't do to feel pretty and ....

I'm so Blessed

I know it's been way too long since I've posted in here. I've been very busy taking online classes and teleclasses. It has all been so exciting and worthwhile.

I am still doing readings on my own web site

Hopefully I'll be posting more often on here.Lots of changes going on so check back for more.

Humming birds are so awesome!!

Good Morning, I found this video in my email this morning and was so awed I wanted to share it with all of you. How could we doubt God, the Universe and Mother Nature's love for us after watching this amazing video?? I hope you all enjoy it.

Love between a dog and cat

Isn't this the sweetest video you've ever seen of love between a dog and cat? Made me wipe my eyes a little. It will make you smile all over too. Happy weekend.

The Love Letter

I just finished watching this movie on You Tube. I checked it out of the library yesterday but found it on You Tube and I was too lazy to put it in my DVD player so I sat back and watched it on my computer.

Here is a synopsis of the movie:

"Transcending the dimension of time, a love letter found in an antique desk magically seals the fate of two young people linked by destiny, yet separated by more than 100 years. A young man discovers a letter written by a mysterious woman named Lizzie, who lived long ago, and feels compelled to write to her. Correspondence ensues and grows into a love so powerful not even the years can keep them apart. Spanning the Civil War to the present, the perils of Lizzie's war-torn situation threaten her safe passage into the future. Will their love endure the test of time?"

My all time movie was Somewhere in Time, which I still love, but this movie had a better ending. Do you believe in reincarnation and past lives? I've always been fascinated by the subject and even had some past life regressions. After watching Somewhere in Time one night, a story poured out of me that I "channeled" in 4 hours. I sent it to a magazine that published it. I've never been able to channel a story like this since. It was like the story was being dictated through me. Fascinating experience.

If you want I'll put my story on my next blog.

I believe love transcends time. I believe we attract the same souls to us over and over so we can learn more about ourselves and how to love. Dr. Brian Weiss wrote a book called Only Love is Real. It is about this being with and loving the same souls through time.

Has any of you had any experiences of feeling like you "know" or "knew" someone when you first met in this lifetime? If you have, I'd love to hear your story if you feel like sharing it.

I'm blown away right now after seeing this movie. If you want to see it go to: Hallmark The Letter
