Full moon, Clouds and Crickets

September 22, 2021

Happy Autumn everyone.  It sure did get cool after the front moved in.  So refreshing!

Ok so I woke up around 4am after about 5 hours of sleep. I stepped outside hoping to see the full moon.  The skies had been so cloudy that I was doubtful.  But there she was, with a halo around her.  The sky in the south was glowing orange.  There is a plant place in that area where they have lights in the gardens and I guess that's what makes the sky glow.

I shot a video that came out pretty well.  I posted it on my Facebook page but I'll be darned if I could get it to work here on blogger.  I could upload it but it wouldn't process or whatever that's called.  I tried a number of times and got a square that said Video unavailable.  I googled it, followed some directions that led me nowhere, so I finally gave up.   I could hear the crickets chirping in the video and I so wanted to post it here.  Here is my video if you're interested.  Just the full moon like you see here and the orangish sky with crickets chirping.

Wanna Laugh or Two?

 September 10, 2021,

We all know laughter is good for us.  Here's the link to an article from the Mayo Clinic about what benefits we can get from laughing.   It helps our immune system and we know we need this more than ever right now.  Laughing also helps our oxygen levels, is good for our muscles and much much more.

So let's laugh!

You did want your screen cleaned didn't you?

Are you laughing yet?  Or maybe a giggle or at least a smile?  If you want more I created a Fun page on Facebook where I post silly, stupid, lots of LOL's, dumb like this one...

Where do they keep the dumb ones?

So I Begin Another 30 Days of Blogging

 September 1, 2021

Blogging with Effy Wilde begins another month of blogging on her Artfully Wild Blog Along group on Facebook.

I am excited to encourage myself to blog again for 30 days.  Effy Wilde opens her blogging page up at least once a year, sometimes more.  The last time was the month of April 2021 and I so enjoyed posting, reading other blogs and replying.

Most of the other bloggers are showing their artwork and I enjoy seeing them.  My blog is random.  I enjoy taking pictures and posting them.  I kept thinking I wanted to sketch and practice learning how to use Procreate on my iPad but so far I haven't done a thing with the program.  I'm not going to try and figure out why or beat myself up.   It is what it is for now.

I've been trying to work out a lot of sadness, not fear about the Delta virus and it has been so hard.  I got fully vaccinated last April and was feeling a little safer and more hopeful that my husband and I could go out more safely but then  - - - so much has not happened since then --- do I really want to get into this on my blog?  Not right now.  Maybe not at all.  I don't know right now.

So here I am again blogging again and hopefully it will be fun.  I know it will be challenging.

Until my next post happy reading, happy blogging.

Thank you for reading.

Birthdays, Shoulds and Mother's Day

My birthday and Mother's day are usually a week apart or so.  This year my birthday was on a Monday and Mother's Day was the next Sunday.

"What did you do on your birthday?"

"Tried to buy a door."

An Asian buffet restaurant gives free meals for people on their birthdays.  I felt like I "should" go. After all it's free.   But my taster wasn't for Asian this year.   What did my taster want?  Oh I so dislike the pressure of feeling like I needed to celebrate something just because it was my birthday. I like myself and want to celebrate every day I'm alive and well.  So I relaxed and know that I can go out to eat any time I want.  Yes that felt better.  We ended up getting hubby a new pair of glasses and eating butter burgers at Culver's.  I really like them and it was just what my taster wanted.  Hubby got onion rings and I got french fries. A birthday party in my mouth!

I had some coupons from other restaurants offering desserts for my birthday.  But I had an A1C test coming up two days later and really didn't want to do desserts.  I know, french fries, buns and onion rings are carbs.  I'm getting real tired of worrying or even thinking about this stuff.  After all I just turned 83.

My test came out too high and it's got me thinking.  I can get my blood sugar down if I work on it and count carbs, cut out things I like to eat and be careful.  But I'm thinking be careful for why?  I'm not real interested in living until 90 and having to be cared for. Yes I know there are people who live past 90 and are healthy and active.  I'm happy for them.  It doesn't "light me up".  Maybe in a few years I might change my mind.

A part of me would really like to know how long I'm going to live. I know, many say they wouldn't.   Death is a scary subject. I'm not afraid to be dead, it's just how.  I think the right to die should be passed in every state.  For people who have terminal illnesses and are in pain not just for ordinary old people although ...

Financially I'd like to know how long I have to live.  What's special about having a good credit score when you die?  They aren't going to ask me that at the "Pearly Gates".

At 83 I don't have the ability to answer how I'd like to see myself in 3 years, much less 5.   I can only think about a week at the most.  I don't say, "I can't wait until"  anymore.

I'm not depressed, just thinking.  I got over 200 wonderful birthday greetings on Facebook. That made me feel wrapped in a sweet blanket of love.

As for Mother's Day.  I'd rather have a Smiley balloon rather than flowers.

I'm glad I have a goofy sense of humor.  It helps and as long as I can find things to laugh about, including our crazy lives I'm ok.

A bit overwhelmed but okay - 23

Whew, today is the big day! For months I have been working on writing angel prayers and recording them for My Angel Prayer. I was so honored to be chosen as one of 20 + angel practitioners from around the world to participate on this. Our prayers are on Amazon Alexa now and you can hear them.  The instructions are on the Angel Prayer link.  Today we were all interviewed live on Facebook! It was fun.

I had been listening to the other Angel Practitioners and of course, as a human I found myself comparing. Some were offering classes, some had written books and more. But then I remembered this is about Angels and how they help people, not about ego.

My interview was at 1:30 Eastern Time and you can find it on  My Angel Prayer page. The video starts at 1pm with a lady from India for the first 30 minutes. Mine comes after that at 1:30 Eastern Time. I am amazed how fast time goes on an interview. It was fun though. I had 5 pages of notes and only had to look up the name of Archangel Gabriel. My angels helped me with every word.

I have some updating to do on my web page but I'm not going to grit my teeth and get tense. I will take my time, breathe, ask for guidance and just let it happen.

Even though this is May 1 and April blogging is finished, I started  a bit late, then skipped a day or two. I have a week to go and if I actually do 30 days it will be the first time I actually completed a whole month. I plan to continue blogging because it's fun and also good for my brain.

Thank you Effy Wild for encouraging people to join and blog.

Life is Better When We Laugh - Day 8

My sense of humor has gotten me through a lot.  I don't know who I'd be without it.

Many years ago I was having a breast biopsy.  They had to stick a needle in my breast to show the surgeon where to cut so they took me to the mammogram room, stuck the needle in my breast, then clamped that machine down and took a picture.  Uh Oh, needle was in the wrong spot so it was taken out and reinserted.  Another clampdown and then they  WALKED AWAY and LEFT me there clamped down.  Not only was I scared about the upcoming surgery but I was left clamped down and couldn't move.  "There has to be something funny about this," I thought.  Sure enough, a silly thought came to me.  I'd be walking down the hall clamped down dragging the machine behind me.  "What time's breakfast?" I'd ask.

Ok maybe that isn't funny to you but it made me laugh and it sure took the edge off how scared I was.  (Everything turned out ok)

I had my lips sewn together when I was sixteen for more skin grafting for my cleft palate.  It was one of the funniest six weeks in my life.  I was staying with my aunt, who owned a dog named Middy.  Since I couldn't talk I had to make a noise to get my aunt's attention.  Middy thought I was talking to him and he'd come running.  Of course I played it up for all it was worth until I had my aunt and her friend practically rolling on the floor with laughter.

Now this is funny.

Stupidly funny

Many years ago a friend and I belonged to this group that doesn't exist anymore. She created a Krazy Fun page and we'd all post silly stuff on it.  It was hilarious and we had such fun trying to outdo funny posts.

A few years ago I created my own fun page on Facebook and invited her to help me fill it with silly, stupid, outrageously funny posts.  It is very popular and quite active.  I deliberately go searching for silly memes, cartoons, silly songs and more. Many days it has uplifted me and changed my mood.  I've heard that others feel the change to when they come see what's been posted recently.

So if you want a laugh or a groan check out and like my fun page here
