Glorious sunrise over the ocean

I spent many a morning looking at this scene during the years I lived in South Florida. I have this beautiful memory to remember. Whenever I want I can close my eyes and in my imagination I am back there. In fact it is one of the pictures I use for meditation. The water was warm and I'd stand in the light that the sun cast upon the ocean and feel myself being healed. Nothing mattered as I stood in the now of the sunrise. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

The Law of Attraction is like the Internet - What's Your Password?

Our brains have been compared to computers in many ways and no computer has been able to duplicate the brain. The brain and the computer need energy. The computers need electricity or battery power to run and our brains need nutrients and oxygen. When the computer breaks it can be fixed by adding new parts or, in other cases we can buy new computers or upgrade them. Try adding new parts to the brain or upgrading them. It hasn't happened yet.

The Law of Attraction is like the internet. What is your password? Watch this video and let's discuss.

Afraid of Escalators

I'm afraid of escalators! I will avoid them at all costs. I will go to the back of a store to find the elevator rather than ride an escalator. I get all sweaty and feel dizzy when I step on to one. I wonder will I miss the step? What if I fall? I don't know if this is an unreasonable fear or not. I'm not even sure I need to get over it.

Today when we were at the Barnes and Noble in the Asheville mall I was upstairs where my favorite genre of books are. After I browsed awhile I saw some writing how-to books along with dictionaries way in the back of the store. Bernie had gone down to another store to do an errand and said he'd look for me upstairs. I was standing by the railing waiting for him because if I went back to where the writing books were he'd have a hard time finding me. While waiting I was watching people riding the up escalator. One man was actually reading a book as he stood on those moving stairs. Another gal ran up the stairs. A couple were leaning sideways toward each other conversing. Everyone seemed so calm as if riding an escalator was an every day occurrence, nothing to be afraid of. I guess one can calmly practice riding an escalator in their minds and use EFT to tap on the fear. Do I want to? Does it matter? Do we have to get over every fear we have? What do you think? Do you have any fears that stop you from doing things you'd like to do?

P.S. I don't like riding down escalators either.

Wouldn't it be nice if life was more like this?

Someone sent me a link to this in my thriving now forum. I got thinking about it and wishing life could be more like this and less of a struggle. Of course it could be boring if life was like this every day. But if you find yourself struggling you can imagine pushing this in your mind and hearing the sound.

Wishing you an Easy Day today ♥♥

Being Co Host on the Rowdy Readers radio Show

When I was a child I loved to play radio. I used to pretend I had a microphone and I'd talk into it as if I was talking on the radio. I used to listen to the Arthur Godfrey Show.

Later my cousin Robin and I had a little radio kit we would use to pretend we had our own radio show. I don't remember what it looked like but we plugged something into the wall and talked into microphones. It broadcasted what we said over an FM radio station. His neighbor called and said she could hear us on her radio. We made up commercials and said silly things. It was a lot of fun.

When I was a teenager I hung out with some other kids at a radio station over at the Lake Worth, Florida beach. Sometimes the Disc Jockey would let us dedicate songs to our friends. We stood in front of this big glass window while he talked on his show and we'd make faces and do silly stuff, hoping to make him laugh while on the air.

I used to want to have my own all night Disc Jockey show but for one reason or another that didn't happen.

Now that we have all kinds of internet radio broadcasting choices and we can listen to many different kinds of show, it is easier to host our own shows. I haven't taken that leap yet but I am honored to be co host on the Rowdy Readers Show with Dax Carlisle on The Tarot Guild on Mondays afternoons, 4pm Eastern time on Blogtalk Radio. We have a lot of fun and now we have a link to our own tiny chat room where we are on camera and we can show the tarot or angel cards we pull. Monday is angel message day so I show the angel card and talk about how we can get our own angel messages.

We also give mini readings when you call in. The call in number is at the top of the show page. Come over and get your free mini reading or just enjoy the show and chat with everyone. We have a great time. The Tarot Guild hosts a Rowdy Readers Show on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Friday afternoon with Mary Nale. Wednesday is the Deb and Dax show where they teach you about Social Media.

So I'm still playing radio in my later years and who knows how far I'll go with this. Life is adventurous!!

RIP Phoebe Snow

Monday afternoon I fell asleep and dreamed of my dead friend James. Before he died we agreed he would contact me if he could. During my nap it felt like we were talking through Skype. I told him I didn't have my camera hooked up and he reached through on Skype and handed it to me. He told me that someone was going to die that would make me sad. There was something about Poetry or a blog. The dream felt very real and I even heard the sound of his voice. I have had precognitive dreams before of people going to die that have come true, so it really made me wonder who this was going to be.

Today I picked up the paper and learned Phoebe Snow died yesterday. She wrote and sang Poetry Man. It was her big hit. She gave birth to a severely brain damaged daughter and she put her music career on hold to take care of the girl.

My friend James introduced me to Phoebe Snow because Poetry Man was one of his favorite songs. So when I read of her passing it clicked, this is who he said was going to die that would make me sad. And in the dream were the words poet and blog. So I'm blogging about the Poetry Man song and Phoebe Snow.

I was able to see her live at Sunfest one year when we lived in West Palm Beach, Fla. It was very crowded and I don't generally like crowds. But i was able to wiggle my way up to the front and stood right below her as we all swayed and sang with her. It was an awesome evening that I won't forget.

So here is Phoebe Snow singing Poetry Man. I hope you all enjoy her like I do.

ICE CREAM SINGS

One day I had lunch with some friends. Bob, a short, balding golfer type about 69 years old, came along with them---all in all, a pleasant bunch.

When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Bob who said, "Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate.

I wasn't sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. "Along with heated apple pie," Bob added, completely unabashed.

We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time. But when our orders were brought out, I didn't enjoy mine.

I couldn't take my eyes off Bob as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn't believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned.

The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Bob. I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait.
I smiled. He asked if he amused me
I answered, "Yes, you do, but also you confuse me.

How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible? He laughed and said "I'm tasting all that is Possible.

I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life's so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.

This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned) I haven't been this old before."
"So, before I die, I've got to try those things that for years I had ignored.
I haven't smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven't fished. There's more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.

There are too many golf courses I haven't played. I've not laughed at all the jokes. I've missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes.

I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His grace.

I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most.

I haven't cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again.

So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I'd say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart's desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired.."

With that, I called the waitress over.. "I've changed my mind, " I said. "I want what he is having, only add some more whipped cream!"

This is my gift to you - Live well, love much & laugh often - Be happy.
